The primary challenge in designing LIKA Pharmacy’s identity was avoiding the use of the traditional cross, a symbol heavily saturated in the pharmacy industry and lacking distinctiveness. The goal was to create an icon that not only stood apart from competitors but also carried a strong connection to health, positivity, and the trusted identity of a pharmacy as an institution.

To address the challenge, we designed an icon that strongly resembles a pill while introducing a subtle twist, a smile. This dual meaning captures both the pharmaceutical essence and the positive emotions linked with health. The smile represents the idea that being healthy naturally leads to happiness and well-being. From this concept, the brand’s slogan was born: Being happy is being healthy.
